damn i was salty when i made this lmao
i don't hold this opinion anymore, but i will leave it up for those of you who want to use it
however, i've read a lot about "mary-sues" (and ocs in general) over the past years and i would like to say:
99% of the time, it's just someone on the internet having fun. so what if it's a self-insert fantasy? everyone likes to feel powerful from time to time.
not to mention that mary-sues are often the creation of younger members of the fandom, and will grow and develop as their creator learns more about writing.
bashing mary-sues will only drag young authors down. support and constructive criticism (when welcome) are what is needed.
